Patterns and Rhymes	Identify which words appear again and again

Writing
Sentence and text structure	Write clearly demarcated sentences Use ‘and’ to join ideas Use conjunctions to join sentences (e.g. so, but) Use standard forms of verbs e.g. go/ went
Spelling	write from memory simple sentences dictated by the teacher that include words using the GPCs and common exception words taught so far.
Punctuation	Evidence of : capital letters, full stops, question marks, exclamation marks. Capital letters for names and personal pronoun ‘I’.
Paragraphing	Clearly sequenced sentences
Handwriting	Correct formation of lower case-finishing in right place. Correct formation of capital letters. Correct formation of digits.

Maths
Counting and ordering	Count to and across 100, forwards and backwards from any number
Numbers and more/less	Read and write numbers to 20 in digits and words Read and write number to 100 in digits Say 1 more/ 1 less to 100
Tables and multiples	Count in multiples of 1,2,5,10
Bonds and facts	Know bonds to 10 by heart Use bonds and subtraction facts to 20
Place value and rounding
Calculations (addition/ subtraction)	Add and subtract 1 and 2 digit numbers to 20 including 0 Add any 3 1 digit numbers with a total up to 20
Calculations (division/ multiplication)	Solve simple multiplication and division with apparatus and arrays
