Making Pizza in Reception
Friday’s are Pizza day in school. The children in Reception love to eat Pizza and thanks to Freddie who makes pizzas at home we decided together to turn the role play area into a pizza shop with hot drinks to keep warm in the winter. After a discussion about what toppings you put on pizzas the children used the props to design and make pizza’s of their choice. The children worked together selecting toppings from cheese, pepperoni, pepper and ham to make their pizza. Pizza’s were cooked and then the children sat to enjoy!
We then listened to the story ‘ Little Red Hen makes a pizza’
Ingredients: Tortilla wraps, tomato pizza topping sauce, cheese, ham, pepperoni and peppers.
