KIRFs – Key Instant Recall Facts
To develop pupils’ fluency in mental maths skills, we have introduced KIRFs from year 1 to year 6. KIRFs are designed to support the development of mental maths skills which underpin much of our maths work in school. They are comprised of number facts such as timestables, prime numbers, number bonds and complements that need frequent practice and rehearsal in order for pupils to recall them quickly and accurately.
