Health Week 9/7/18 – 13/7/18
Last week, at Chaucer, we held Health Week 2018. The children took part in many sporting activities, from yoga to Bollywood dancing; we also held our annual sports day.
The girl’s football team played their last football match of the season, and the school rounders team competed in the annual rounders competition, finishing a respectable fourth place.
Away from the sports field and into the kitchen, KS1 made fruit salads and learnt about eating five pieces of fruit or veg a day.
Our 5B class performed an amazing assembly which included the national initiative GULP (Give Up Loving Pop), which focused on the importance of exercise and a healthy diet.
On the last day of our health week, the children took part in a military style obstacle course, this included crawling under a net, tyre flipping and bench hopping.
All the children thoroughly enjoyed the activities and it is safe to say that Health Week 2018 was a great success at Chaucer.
