Cookery Club with Year 5

Week 1 of Cookery Club with the some pupils from Year 5.

Cookery Club will help the pupils to understand more about healthy eating and cooking, learning about food hygiene and safety, and budgeting while developing their practical and time management skills.

Each week the pupils will have hands on experiences with food.  They will be following recipes and gaining more confidence in basic food hygiene and preparation skills.

Week 1:  Fruit Kebabs – pupils choose from a selection of seasonal fruits to make their fruit kebabs.

The following photos show the pupils demonstration their cutting skills using the ‘bridge’ technique, peeling  and threading the fruit onto the screwers.
