5/6G Art Project

Last week while some of our year 6 children were at camp, we got busy doing an art project. Our inspiration was the artist Wassily Kandinsky. He painted abstract art that represented the way he was feeling. Listening to music while he painted, he created some amazing artwork and so did our children!

Researching the artist and creating a poster.

A range of instrument sounds representing different feelings.

Expressing emotions through colour and shape.

Using colour and shape to compose a music sheet whilst listening to Richard Wagner (Kandinsky’s inspiration).

.

Practise compositions drawing inspiration from music by Lindsey Stirling.

A detailed visual analysis of Kandinsky’s work.

Ideas for a final piece of artwork in the style of Kandinsky.

The final result!
