Young Chef of the Year 2017
Today Ray Sampson represented Chaucer Primary School in the final of Young Chef of the Year 2017 part of ‘Healthier Fleetwood’. The final was held at Twelve Restaurant in Thornton. Ray was joined by other finalists from other Fleetwood Primary Schools. Ray composed himself in a mature and calm manner throughout the competition and who was a real credit to his school and family. The finalists had a budget of £10 to spend on creating a healthy soup, main course and dessert.
Ray’s Menu: Soup: Pea and Mint soup Main Course: Grilled Salmon with a pesto and lemon topping with green beans and baby potatoes Dessert: Lemon Mousse.
Fingers crossed for Ray tomorrow. Ray, his family and friends are attending a special event at Fleetwood Football Club tomorrow to find out who the winner is of ‘Young Chef of the Year 2017’.
