Visiting Volcanologist
Today we were visited by Volcanologist Tom Grant. Tom kindly gave up his time to come in talk to 5B, 5/6G and 6P about his experiences and expertise in our current topic of volcanoes.
He gave us detailed explanations on the what, why and how of volcanoes and showed us some amazing personal photographs. The children got the chance to examine rocks that had come from three different volcano sites, Colima, Vulcano and Mt Etna and we ended with a lively and enthusiastic question and answer session.
