R1A made ‘Creepy Crawly Soup’….and bravely tasted it!

We have been reading and writing lists and instructions in R1A.

After reading Nick Sharratt’s fantastic book ‘The Witch’s Kitchen’, our class received a letter and a recipe from the witch! The Reception and Year One children had to make her disgusting’creepy crawly soup’.

We had to read lists of ingredients and recipe instructions, carefully count in their ‘yucky’ ingredients and then, worst of all…eat it!!

We used alarming ingredients such as sliced snails, (runner beans)  butterfly wings, (mushrooms) and worms in blood (tinned spaghetti)….would you have dared to eat our ‘creepy crawly soup’?
